The new Paintology drawing app to take your drawings skills to new heights!

No longer are you required to master the technical tools of the digital application to create digital art, and app like Paintology shows you the natural process of drawing. This approach to digital drawing has been refined in the Paintology drawing app developed over six years. Now you can make stunning drawings with no digital tools and just one brush and it's opacity setting.

One brush drawing, you say?

You don’t have to take our word for it, just check out the many videos that are posted on the Paintology youtube channel to see how this is done. A good example of a one brush drawing can be found from the drawing made on the phone using the Paintology app, shown below. You can easily mistake this drawing from one done with traditional. This is because the drawing is done using your hand with the opacity settings of the brush without use of fancy digital tools.

You can watch a video of a pencil like drawing on the following youube link.. It will show you the approach taken which is to use only one brush and develop the drawing much like the same way as you would use pencil and paper.

The Paintology app has been designed to transition your core skills in traditional to the digital medium!

Digital tools are used extensively in the mainstream because that is what most people know. They have not been able to apply the core art techniques to digital which makes traditional art so popular and loved throughout the world. Let’s take an example of a pencil and paper. You all know that by giving these very simple tools to a beginner and an accomplished artist, the results will be starkly different. Why is that?

Most dismiss this as a natural born talent which they lack but yet many artists will tell you that it can all be learnt. Those that excel in art pay careful attention to how the pencil interacts with the paper. They know that they can handle the pencil more deftly than a beginner to produce the kind of strokes and tones required for a good drawing. Many will look at the process as two dimensional since they cannot see beyond the pencil abilities and hence turn to digital tools. They have no real appreciation of the methods and techniques that are key to good drawings and painting. After all, they are beginners! Unless they choose to experiment and see what the tools can really do, they will have no real approach or the desire to go forwards.

Therefore, It would be premature and incorrect to say that just because you don’t get it, it does not mean it cannot be learnt.

Paintology has taken the art concepts of learning digital drawing to a whole new level. With its custom tutorials designed to teach you these important basics and build upon it at different stages of your learning. You will eventually reach the level of drawing ability that you had never thought possible.

New Paintology drawing app to take your drawings to a new peak!

You can watch the video guide below on an introduction to Paintology and how it will help you achieve rapid drawing skills. Some would argue that drawing on the phone is not like drawing on paper. But the same can be said of many art mediums such as watercolours, oils, pastels, charcoal etc.  They are all vastly different from each other but you cannot downlplay each of these mediums if you have not tried it.

The digital medium is no different, and the secret to learning digital drawing more rapidly than using tools is to learn the art fundamentals. These are the same art fundamentals taught in the traditional mediums for centuries and believe it or not the same principles apply to the digital medium too!

One major art fundamental is the appreciation of tones.

If you look at a good pencil artist, you can see how they vary tones and depict a drawing that is more captivating than one made by a beginner. With practice many can easily do photorealistic drawings due to their increased knowledge and use of tones using just a few tools.

The Paintology drawing app teaches and guides you in the direction of achieving tones with much more latitude than normal pencils. This is due to the opacity of the brush setting and with this setting alone and the use of one brush, you can achieve photorealistic drawings like never before. Also, don't assume the drawing takes a lot of time, you can draw photo realistically multiple times faster than having a reliance on digital tools.

Take a look at the following drawing. You could be mistaken this to be drawn with traditional materials on a large canvas, but in actual fact it was drawn on the phone with the Paintology app!
