Whenever you embark on any painting or drawing, its always a good idea to have an idea of the tools that you will use ahead of time. If you stick to say one brush for the entire painting, it will constrain you to use that brush in more ways than one.

Ever wanted to create a painting of a grand master, then you can with your Android tablet and a free copy of Paintology (downloadable from Google play). Fig. 1 shows a famous painting by Vincent Van Gogh ‘Wheat fields with cypresses’ created on the tablet in about 30 minutes. I have been getting more used to the Galaxy Tab 2 with my Paintology app loaded and playing around with the brushes and strokes. The key to good drawing and painting requires a versatility in the tools you use and not confine yourself to any specific set of tools. I have to always keep in mind that Paintology has 20 types of powerful brushes that have great effects and are ideal for certain subjects when drawing.
