Paintology is now available for the Amazon fire tablets

With Amazon fire tablets usually occupying either 4th or 5th place as the largest shipments of tablets in the world, it is no surprise that many use the range of Fire tablets as an alternative to the Android tablets.

Having two of these fire tablets, 7 inch and an 8 inch, I find the tablets are very similar to the equivalent Android versions, for example, Samsung, Huawei etc.

Apart from the Google play store, the Amazon fire tablets have apps that are only approved by Amazon and most developers of the Android apps need to ‘build’ their apk specifically for the Amazon play store. What can add confusion to the mix is that the ‘store’ can often be confused with Amazon’s shopping store.

If you have a Fire tablet and want to install the Paintology, you need to do this specifically from the fire device, instructions provided below.

1. From the home page of your tablet, go to the Games & App tab at the top

2. In the search box at the top, type in ‘Paintology’

3. Click on the Paintology icon that shows up and this will lead you directly to the app (for download)

4. Since I already have the app installed, it is asking me just to ‘Open’. If you have not installed this, simply click on the Install button that will show up. It is very similar to the Google play store.
