Continuing with our last lesson on digital finger painting – mt landscape, here we are going to tackle a sunset using finger painting (fig. 1). The advantage of using fingers for drawing is that some subjects such as clouds can be easier to do then using a stylus probably due to the randomness at which our fingers moves as well as some direct control on the canvas.

This is one of the earlier paintings drawn on the Galaxy Note using Samsung’s own proprietary software called “S-Memo”.

This painting was done using the Paintology app using the sketch brush style tool. It’s incredible, how quickly you can create the effects using only one brush style.

This painting was based on a a picture I found on the internet and I was impressed by the colors of the sky as well as the boulder shaped stones in the landscape.
